Orlando Pazol Mendoza (he/him) is a Dominican-American, a student, a future educator, a songwriter, a musician, and the Brooklyn Museum Teen Program Assistant. Participating in various Brooklyn Museum Teen Programs, such as Digital Artizens, Teen Convening, the Brooklyn Museum Apprentice Program, and currently co-leading Teen Council, he strives to put marginalized youth in the forefront and stay close to his love for the Brooklyn Museum. Orlando also seeks to give back to his community and impact urban youth in many ways. As a current student in the City University of New York, he studies mathematics to teach in low income neighborhoods, and as a musician he connects with his Dominican Heritage and faith to bring a smile and joy to people. But all in all, as he pursuit to attain a little knowledge of everything, he is committed to share stories of the voices that for so long have been overshadowed.
