Lauren Calvin (she/her) is a 17 year-old a painter who dabbles in a multitude of other media. She paints on wood about the black body and about societal perpetuation of fears, and mostly the connection between the two ideas. When she is not painting, she is either reading, solving math problems or in a teen art program. The teen programs she’s in center around facilitation and curation for teens and specifically try to provide a platform for teen artist, which function in different ways despite having similar purposes. Her most current project is reconstructing aspects of my dreams with a selective color palette.
