K-12 Education Manager, MASS MoCA
Amanda Tobin is the K-12 Education Manager at MASS MoCA, where she has developed school engagement and social justice programs, particularly for area K-8 partner schools, since 2014. In this role, she creates thematic school visit curricula using ArtInSight, MASS MoCA’s three-pronged pedagogy involving conversational-style tours, mindfulness-based insight activities, and art-making exercises. Tobin holds a B.A. in Art History and East Asian Studies from Oberlin College and an M.Ed. in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her previous work in engaging young audiences with the arts includes experience at the Boston Children’s Museum, the Peabody Essex Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Since 2017, Tobin has also served as Adjunct Instructor in Arts Management at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
