Located at 100 Pier 4 Blvd, Seaport Studio encompasses the Teen Gallery, featuring artwork by Boston-area youth and two dedicated spaces just for youth programs; the Paul and Phyllis Fireman Family Digital Studio, part of the Charles and Fran Rodgers Education Center; and a meeting space for a range of ICA Teen Programs.

The Stories that Make Us
Our current Teen Gallery presentation is The Stories that Make Us, an exhibition of artwork by high school students that explores personal stories about migration, belonging, and overcoming adversity. This exhibit embodies how different stories intersect and finds the commonalities we all have with one another. We invite you to explore the works that make up The Stories that Make Us and see what you relate to.
Please note the Teen Gallery will be closed April 17–21 for school vacation week.
This exhibition was organized by the ICA’s Teen Exhibitions Program, a group of creative teens that work together to plan, organize, and install artwork in the Teen Gallery.
Paul and Phyllis Fireman Family Digital Studio
Open to Teen New Media Course participants
Ranging from one-day intensives to multi-session or multi-week classes, Teen New Media Courses help teens develop new technology- and media-based skills such as digital photography, music production, and film while working with teaching and guest artists. The approximately 20 courses on offer, serving upwards of 250 students annually, take place after school, on weekends, and during school vacations. All Teen New Media Courses are offered at no cost to the participant. Boston Public School students may also qualify to participate in the BPS Credit-Bearing Initiative. The yearlong, advanced film program Fast Forward, a hallmark of ICA Teen Programs for more than 20 years, also takes place in this space.
Seaport Studio is a new addition to the ICA’s Boston Harbor Campus, comprising the museum and the ICA Watershed. The Watershed is open every summer in East Boston.

Mobility devices
Seaport Studio is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Visitors who use mobility devices can be dropped off in front of the building; we recommend stopping on Pier 4 Boulevard outside Ocean Prime. Please note that doors are not equipped with power assist.
Seating
Couches are dispersed throughout the Teen Gallery and gallery stools are available upon request. Accessible seating is available in the Digital Studio and meeting space for teen programs.
Restrooms
The restrooms in Seaport Studio are public and include wheelchair-accessible stalls. Please note that doors are not equipped with power assist. Current building codes require we label one restroom “women” and one restroom “men.” We acknowledge that these two categories do not reflect the gender identity or expression of all visitors and staff. Please use the restroom that feels most comfortable for you.
